THis is really interesting!! I am a writer, poet, and aspiring author! I would love to submit some of my work but I’m unclear to how it works.

You send in your work by following the instructions on our “Submissions” page here: http://hootreview.com/submissions.
Basically, you can send in two pieces for two dollars (put the two pieces in the same word document) and make sure they both have fewer than 150 words.
The other option is to send them for free to our submissions mailbox (“onlinesubmissions@hootreview.com”) but these submissions are not considered for the postcard– they are only considered for online publication (the other submissions are considered for both).

If I want to purchase a previous issue postcard do I specify which one I want in the box that says “Personalized message on postcard back? Other special instructions?” I just want to make sure I get the one I want.
